Municipal Infrastructure

 

The Town of Fermeuse was incorporated in 1967 and includes the communities of Fermeuse and Kingman's Cove. The Municipal Building is located in Fermeuse. It was constructed in 1982, a two storey structure with the town office and council chambers on the main floor and a full basement with kitchen and bathroom facilities on the lower level. There are also a number of meeting rooms available for rent on the top level.

Some of the services provided by the town are street lighting, weekly garbage collection, sewer system and the municipal water system which services the entire town of Fermeuse and the community of Kingman's Cove. The system has the capacity to meet all domestic and commercial needs and has the approval of the Fire Commissioner's Office. Recreational facilities include a playground, ballfield, local hiking trails as well as the East Coast Trail.
