St. Joseph's Presentation School was opened in 1975. It is a one storey wooden structure. Children from Fermeuse and the surrounding communities of Port Kirwan, Kingman's Cove, Renews and Cappahayden attend Kindergarten to Grade 6 at the school. Junior high and high school students from these same areas attend St. Joseph's and Baltimore High in Ferryland. However, in September 1999 the school will be closed down with all the students attending school at the St. Joseph's Lord Baltimore school complex in Ferryland.
